This helps buyers make informed decisions and avoid potentially problematic vehicles.

How accurate is the vehicle data?

Our vehicle data comes from official sources including DVLA, DVSA, insurance databases, and police records. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all incidents are recorded. We recommend using our reports as part of your due diligence process, alongside a physical inspection and test drive.

What's the difference between Basic, Full, and Premium checks?

Basic Check (£9.99): Includes MOT history, tax status, basic mileage check, and vehicle details.

Full HPI Check (£19.99): Everything in Basic plus full mileage analysis, clocking detection, write-off check, finance check, and stolen vehicle check.

Premium Check (£29.99): Everything in Full HPI plus service history check, previous owners, warranty check, export status, keeper history, and valuation report.

How do I check if a car has been clocked?

Our Full and Premium HPI checks include mileage verification and clocking detection. We analyse MOT test records to identify suspicious mileage patterns. If the mileage has decreased between tests or shows unusual patterns, our report will flag this as a potential clocking incident.

Marketplace & Selling

How do I list my car for sale?

To list your car, click "List Your Car" in the navigation menu. You'll need to provide your vehicle's registration number (we'll auto-fill details), upload at least 5 photos, set your price, and add a description. Once submitted, your listing will be live on our marketplace for potential buyers to see.

Is it free to list my car?

Yes! Basic listings are completely free. We also offer optional premium features such as featured listings, priority placement, and professional photography services for a small fee.

How does "We Buy Your Car" work?

Simply enter your registration number on our "Sell to Us" page, provide some details about your car's condition, and we'll give you an instant valuation. If you're happy with the offer, you can book a collection date. We'll inspect the vehicle on collection and pay you the same day if everything matches.

Do you buy cars with MOT failures or damage?

Yes! We buy cars in any condition - MOT failures, write-offs, non-runners, and damaged vehicles. Be honest about your car's condition when getting a valuation, as this affects the final offer. Our valuations account for repair costs and market value.

Account & Verification

Why do I need to verify my email?

Email verification helps us ensure the security of your account and allows you to access all features, including booking car collections and receiving important notifications. Verified users also get a green "Verified" badge, which builds trust with other users when buying or selling.

How do I reset my password?

Click on "Login" and then "Forgot Password". Enter your email address, and we'll send you a password reset link. If you don't receive the email within a few minutes, check your spam folder or contact our support team.

Can I change my email address?

Yes, you can change your email address in your profile settings. After changing, you'll need to verify the new email address before you can use certain features. The new email will become your login username.

Payments & Refunds

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, and Apple Pay. All payments are processed securely through our payment partners.

What is your refund policy?

All purchases of vehicle history reports and premium services are final. However, we may offer refunds in cases of technical errors preventing access, duplicate charges, or services not delivered as described. Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days with proof of the issue.

How do I get paid when selling my car to you?

Payment is made via bank transfer on the same day as collection, once we've completed our inspection and verified the vehicle matches your description. We can also arrange payment by cheque if preferred. You'll receive payment confirmation via email.
